About the ACF

:icongroupslaplz:

||Welcome to the Amateur Comics Front. We aim to create a place where original comic artists can band together and work towards gaining better exposure and comic fans can find new and unnoticed works. We also intend to compile resources and provide other such information for aspiring comic artists.

||Submission Guidelines: You may submit up to five deviations to our gallery per week. We accept comics of any format and genre. Stand-alone strips or single panel jokes are welcome, as well as pages from ongoing stories. We accept all art styles and skill levels.

Please also note that this group is intended only for original works, not fan art. Also, you may not submit traced or copied works. The work you submit must also be in compliance with the deviantART Terms Of Service.

Please make sure to read the Complete Rules.

This is a group for original comic work.

That means no fanart.

That includes Marvel, DC, and video game comics. If you're wondering if your submission violates this, ask yourself, "Are these my characters or my story? Do you have to understand another piece of media (such as a video game, like Zelda) in order to understand this?" If the answer to either of those are no, it doesn't belong here. You could post a comic that has characters mention video games or TV, but isn't the sole focus of that entire comic page/strip.

Additionally, please pay attention to which folder you are submitting your work to, and read the descriptions or browse if you're uncertain. Thank you.

We are! The process is just a little slow at the moment, I'm waiting for another admin to okay a big group of member requests right now (the process requires two admins to accept new members.) Thank you for your patience!

Hello, and thak you for letting me join!
Which should be the best folder to upload long comics (around 30 pages)? And what belongs to the light and heavy critique?

Story Pages, if they're all split up :) Story Pages is where pages that are part of an ongoing or finished story go.

In the Light and Heavy Critique folder, you submit artwork you want someone to critique. If you want little helpful comments, put them in Light Critique. If you REALLY want to improve and want very in-depth critique, put it in Heavy Critique.

Sorry for the late reply!

If I join, can I submit a comic in flash? And if I can, in which folder?

I don't see why not... I think you'd be our first flash comic, so I'd say just submit it into the folder that you think it fits best into (like, if it's part of an on going story submit it to the story pages folder, etc)

Of course you can join with a flash comic! Sounds interesting! Hmm... and as for folder... is the whole comic in one flash file? If so, then it should be in Stand Alone. If your flash comics are separate, then they should be submitted in normal page folders :)
